Here’s another by Wolf Parade. Whenever this song comes up on CBC RADIO 3, I almost always mistaken it for fellow Montrealeans (is that a word?) Arcade Fire for some reason. I think the vocals almost sound like they could sound like Win Butler in No Cars Go. Nonetheless, an addictive anthem. PALM ROAD. PALM ROAD PALM ROAD.

Wolf Parade was signed to Subpop Records by Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse. They had a 2006 Polaris Prize nomination for their album Apologies to the Queen Mary named after the event in which they trashed a hotel room. Oh You, Old Thing comes off their latest Expo 86 a name that comes from the fact that they were all at the Vancouver World fair in the same week when they were little kids.
