Rather than post you some stupidly generic list of albums you are supposed to expect, I think my top 10 is going to be based on the fact I actually listened to these releases the most this year. Come on, if an album is good, it must be one of your top plays right? These are based on stats according to iTunes and Last.fm plays as well as the fact I physically own them. I don’t believe in people’s top lists if they didn’t even bother to PURCHASE the album. Many of these are Canadian titles, but not all of them are! Continue Reading

[Listen/Download] The Express- Nobody Knows

The Express are made up of people from bands you have heard of before. It’s a collaboration between cousins Liam Corcoran from Two Hours Traffic and Kinley Dowling, violinist from Hey Rosetta! The result is beautiful musical chemistry in an eleven track self-titled album set to release on July 5, 2011. From my first lessons through the album so far, I’m so in love with Liam’s voice. It’s an acoustic album where every note whether it be voice, guitar, violin or mandolin is played with effortless passion. I’ve played this album over and over again more than I have thought I would so far. Here’s a sneak peak at the album with a track called Nobody Knows. This one almost has a sort of country feel to it. There’s much better tracks on the album, but this is the one I’m allowed to share with you.
