I love this track. It features the creepy sounding Taylor Kirk from Timber Timbre with the sweet sounds of Tasseomancy. After raising funds from Kickstarter, Tasseomancy released their 2nd album Ulalume in August and it’s co-produced by Taylor and Simon Trottier from Timber Timbre. If you didn’t know Tasseomancy is also Austra’s touring back-up singers. Trippy small world isn’t it? Although this song is found on Tasseomancy’s album, I find it a little bit Timber Timbre sounding as the girls once again play back-up vocals here.

Little delayed today with the posts! Was wrapped up with stuff all week =). Happy belated Canada’s Day all. Hope all you Canadians and Americans have a terrific long weekend!

Tasseomancy can be described as a gothic folk duo. Maybe that’s what you do when you get bored in Nova Scotia. Start a gothic indie-folk band. In Healthy Hands you hear creepy organ tones, synths. If you consider dream-pop a genre, then this is death-pop? Nothing heavy. It has that ambient feeling to it just the same.
