If there were Olympics for the most accurate modern, lo-fi portrayal of true-to-form post-punk, Student Teacher’s “Faulty Stance” would take gold. Or maybe silver. I dunno, maybe they’d finish just out of the medals. Point is that this was a stupid analogy and I feel bad for writing it.

Exuding equal amounts of energy and concentrated ennui, Student Teacher is a very interesting listen and an especially neat entry into a genre that is usually otherwise filled with boring garbage.
