Check out this track by Toronto’s SPORTS which is made up of members of other Canadian acts such as the Meligrove band and By Divine Right. They just dropped a self-titled album that is name your own price on Bandcamp. Mixing a touch of pop into a whole lot of alternative-indie is what you get from the group. Then there’s random tracks like Light that could be on the edge of a semi-industrial sound in the beginning. The album’s got quite some character that’s for sure. Maybe it’s because I’m being quite the “slacking scholar” right now, or maybe I just really like this track that I decide to share it with you. If you’re around town they’ll be playing June 7th at the Horseshoe as an album release celebration. They’ll also be playing at NXNE on the 16th at The Silver Dollar.
