Finally a video for one of my favourite tracks from Slow Down Molasses! It’s the song with the typewriter as a percussion instrument. Here they tell a story through paper art. It’s pretty magical. I seriously dig the way they lit everything.

Rather than post you some stupidly generic list of albums you are supposed to expect, I think my top 10 is going to be based on the fact I actually listened to these releases the most this year. Come on, if an album is good, it must be one of your top plays right? These are based on stats according to iTunes and Last.fm plays as well as the fact I physically own them. Finally! I met the first band to ever quote me in their press releases. They didn’t have their strings or horns with them for the BBQ, but I was highly impressed that they brought the typewriter for Bodies. It’s an essential part of the track and watching it done live was just so entertaining! Me and the dudes at Tympanogram ended up buying the vinyl because we were won over by the typewriter. I didn’t even mind that I would have to carry the thing with me all night.. it was worth it.

Late Night Radio is the second single off Slow Down, Molasses album Walk Into the Sea. Its an upbeat, heart pumping track with uplifting horns that remind you everything is going to be okay. Despite the song being called Late Night Radio, it’s a great track to start off the day with.
