Rather than post you some stupidly generic list of albums you are supposed to expect, I think my top 10 is going to be based on the fact I actually listened to these releases the most this year. Come on, if an album is good, it must be one of your top plays right? These are based on stats according to iTunes and Last.fm plays as well as the fact I physically own them. Sloan just recently released their 10th album titled The Double Cross aka XX. I can’t believe these dudes are still at it after 20 years. They don’t even look that old! Take a listen to The Answer Was You that comes off the new album.

When I think of Sloan, I always think of the 90′s but the dudes are still pretty much rocking it still. I can’t believe they are 20 years old. That’s almost as old as me. Follow the Leader comes off their 10th album The Double Cross on May 10th. Their energetic power pop is still alive and probably not going anywhere any time soon. Don’t you just the break into piano at 2:27??
