Happy Valentines Day! I hope you have a great day no matter who you spend it with. If you don’t have anybody, it can be a splurge day to buy all the chocolates you want. My boyfriend actually ditched me to see Bon Jovi today, so we celebrated on the weekend instead. Take a listen to this track from Toronto hip-hop artist Paul Chin. Here’s what he has to say on Valentines Day:
“Heartbeat (Valentine’s Day) is not a love song, it’s a song about love. Even though I can’t claim to have ever had a particularly “special” one (in fact, one or two have been a little hurtful), I still love Valentine’s Day. It’s the one day a year in which everyone is reminded that, in spite of a world plagued by war, poverty and personal brokenness; we, as human beings, still can’t shake this beautiful entity we call love.
I think everyday should be like Valentines Day, but atleast we have the one day a year to remind ourselves to thank the people in our lives.
