Small world, but I realized today the girl that looks like Kai in my class is ACTUALLY Kai. I’m sure you’ve heard her song in all those First Choice Haircutters campaign but did not know the face behind the song. Hell, I didn’t completely until now. Her first EP release 11:11 is coloured with lyrical wonder so much that she’s up for folk/singer-songwriter at the Independent Music Awards. She has that distinctive voice that is warm and inviting yet easy to recognize. Yes she’s a folk artist but there’s elements of soul there for sure especially in the more sultry Unlucky One. This 5 song EP will leave you wanting to hear more for sure.
