Rather than post you some stupidly generic list of albums you are supposed to expect, I think my top 10 is going to be based on the fact I actually listened to these releases the most this year. Come on, if an album is good, it must be one of your top plays right? These are based on stats according to iTunes and Last.fm plays as well as the fact I physically own them. It’s finally June 14th and Dark Mean have finally released their debut album! Here’s another little gift off the album called Smoke Lake. It has some heart pumping bass and percussion and more pop sounding than the previous track I posted named Happy Banjo. That is not to say that this one doesn’t have that playful quality. Whether it be the random hand claps or the juxtaposition of rhythms, you can really hear how these dudes just love making music.
