Code Pie recently decided to give up their 2005 release This Habit for free on Bandcamp. They are just as good as they were back then than they are now. Here is No Planes, No Tickets from the release. Interesting for a release that was 7 years ago, it sounds like some of the indie pop works of today.

Code Pie released their album on March 29th, on Bandcamp, but on April 5th, it is officially released on CD and iTunes. Take a listen to this fun track off the new album Love Meets Rage. Operator gives you a sample of one of the album’s sound. Melodic lo-fi is coloured with harmonic guitar parts as well as horns, glocks and some clanky percussion that gives the song character. I love the old school feel. It’s a little step away from the psychadelic almost shoegaze feel that some of the other tracks have.
