We are always happy to discover new bands, and we’re doubly happy when they are as good as this group from Kamloops, BC. You can use “indie” as a touchstone reference, but At Mission Dolores actually mine a wealth of influences, from ’70s singer-songwriter to ’90s alt pop. It all sounds laid-back and easygoing, but the difference lies in the subtleties that are buried in the mix, such as a feather-light flute-like sound and jangly guitars that blend into the background.
