Despite being the title track on Jer Nogood’s latest release, “Lawnmower Man” is an anomaly because the rest of the album is essentially experimental, freaked-out folk. This, however, is heavier and harkens back to the early days of garage psych. Think, maybe, Neil Young’s Crazy Horse but even sloppier. Hey, that’s meant as a compliment when applied this kind of loose-knit, lo-fi proto-grunge.
