A Weird Tuesday EP Highlight:

Peterborough is an almost endless fount of weirdness, music-wise. Sheila Beach drive that point home very well with five tracks of pop of the decidedly odd variety. It’s deliciously lo-fi and the band is not afraid to make a noise, even though the tone is light on most of the tracks. “All Right Now” could even be considered bedroom pop if it wasn’t for the grating sound of distortion and saturation. Elsewhere things are more garage, culminating in “Creep City”, an exercise in almost-experimental noise. In Sheila Beach’s hands it all sounds great — distortion, feedback, clatter and all.
