Hard Festival in Toronto was a true party. And a fantastic way to kick off Toronto’s series of big parties lined up for the summer.

The weather was wet, but that didn’t stop Toronto from going hard! Dance music lovers were prepared for the weather; some were rocking the poncho while others embraced the summer spirit and opted for a pool party style outfit.

Canadian artists Cosella and Ethan Kath of Crystal Castles set the mood right for the rest of the lineup. The crowd was moving non-stop and was hungry for more. TD Echo Beach was slam packed regardless of the poor weather conditions, but if anything it added to the vibe that was established throughout the event.

Destructo

Tokimonsta and Big Gigantic brought some live elements to the mix and later made way for HARD boss, Destructo who gave the crowd a taste of house music, hip hop, and a little bit of techno. The DJ booth had pineapples on it, which was a hit among the ShipFam (the community that attends Destructo’s Holy Ship party cruise every year). Everyone joined in with pineapple sunglasses and Holy Ship flags.

RL Grime kept things heavy with face melting trap music for the fans, the party had really started to pick up as the rain had paused, and this caused an influx of guests coming into the festival. RL Grime was a perfect transition to Dillon Francis who continued to play a mix of trap and moombahton, he was a hit among the audience.

As the sun was fully set Eric Prydz made his appearance at the DJ booth and began playing a much darker set. Eric Prydz played a dark progressive house set that changed the mood completely, but still maintained the HARD spirit for all.

Overall goHARD Toronto was an amazing event and Toronto is down to do it again!
