lake trasimene

John Kameel Farah’s excellent album ‘Between Carthage and Rome’ offers more than just sophisticated electronic/piano-based music. It’s a contemplation on the confluences and divergences of the Eastern and Western worlds, from both historical and contemporary/future contexts. Lake Trasimene, for example, was the site of an epic battle where the Carthaginians, lead by Hannibal, defeated the Romans in the largest ambush in history.
