I’m going to admit that I totally ignored Guelph’s Whoop-szo at first because of the seemingly ridiculous nature of the band name. But I’ll tell you one thing, if your music is worth posting, I’ll eventually hear it, whether by chance or whatever. I think a Whoop-szo song came on because it happened to be in a random Soundcloud playlist and it was the song immediately after whatever I was listening to. Well anyway, I ended up listening to both Whoop-szo’s latest releases Qallunaat and Odemin and became absorbed in their experimental nature. It’s strange because at times it is borderline repulsive, but others charming and exciting. Every track on both collections are different and will take you on a refreshing adventure.
