There were no openers, since the group had enough music in their catalogue to fill a 90 minute set. Rappers Gabriel Louis Bernard Malenfant & Jacques Alphonse Doucet hyped up the audience with very little break between each song. The setlist was extensive, including the majority of Ej Feel Zoo. Mixed in were the classics like “Jacuzzi afterparty” and “leve tes mains” from their debut Cliché Hot as well as “9 piece dining set”, “Dekshoo” and a spectacular encore of “Cargué dans ma chaise” from the Polaris nominated Belmundo Regal.
The audience of francophones sung along to the older tunes and dance and jumped along with the rappers. It was obvious that everyone in the audience were huge fans of the group. They’re definitely not the kind of group you would randomly wander into the Garrison to see. However, wherever these guys perform, you don’t need to understand what they’re saying to know that it’ll be a party.
