by Nilabjo Banerjee If Local Rabbits were part of your life growing up in the 90s, then you know Peter Elkas. Following the hiatus of the band, the Montreal-based singer/songwriter went solo, and 2014 marks the 10 year anniversary of his debut Party of One. To celebrate the occasion, Elkas will be doing an April-long residency in Dakota playing the entirety of the record. He will be doing some additional Ontario dates including a Light of Day benefit concert in Hamilton with Sam Roberts Band. Light of Day is an organization that raises money to support research and care for Parkinson’s disease patients and their families. Elkas is a coordinator and board member of the organization.
