[NXNE] Single Mothers @ The Horseshoe 6/15/2013
Saturday night, Exclaim! had an intense bill at the Horseshoe. By intense I mean, I spent the whole night trying not to get crushed by the people beside me. At the same time, it was the most fun I’ve had all week. Beginning the night was Dine Alone’s latest punk addition, Single Mothers. They were probably the youngest of the bands on the set but rocked out and flaunted the stage like veterans.

[NXNE] CATL @ The Horseshoe 6/15/2013
The energy did not die down for blues-rockers Catl who always know how to throw a drunken dance party.

[NXNE] White Lung @ The Horseshoe 6/15/2013
White Lung kept things short and sweet, playing on around 15 minutes of music. Lead singer Mish Way dove into the audience near the end.

[NXNE] Iceage @ The Horseshoe 6/15/2013
Iceage took the stage and Elias Bender Rønnenfelt told the photographers to go away. Of course I disobeyed because I have been standing in the same spot for hours already and didn’t want to give it up. I found Rønnenfelt’s snobby demeanour a bit off-putting. Occasionally stopping in between sets to pose. The music however was enough to save them, anger and hatred pelted into each note.

[NXNE] Fucked Up @ The Horseshoe 6/15/2013
According to Twitter and Vine, the line outside the Horseshoe had been crazy all night and wrapped around the corner of Bloor and Spadina. Most of these people wanted to see Fucked Up. The lucky ones got to see Damian pull off his silly stage antics. Putting an AuxTV button into his belly button, falling into the crowd, or lifting audience members above his head.

[NXNE] The Soupcans @ The Horseshoe 6/15/2013
Ending my night was The Soupcans who played a set of what seemed like 1 minute and under songs.
