Halifax trio This Sound Will Save You let us have a taste with last year’s  A Place To Start EP but now they have 17 tracks of their signature electropop in Let The Night Lead You.

There may be a lot of tracks but these include remixes and a cover of Kraftwerk’s “Neon Lights.” The remixes provide a beat heavy, club alternative to a few tunes. The majority of the songs are drenched in bright sparkling synths. Chloe Jones sweet and sugary vocals can be gentle (“If We Only Knew”) and yet strong (“Girl in the Golden Hair”). The latter, a tune about a girl with her own rules has one of the best lines, “The hipsters are crying , because they’re old news”.

The reverb filled “Just For a Moment” and “Forbidden Love (I Know It’s Wrong)” is reminiscent of 90s bubblegum pop. The kind a teenage listens to while getting ready to go out with her friends.
