Dark Dark Dark is a group of Minneapolis based musicians with a ton of soul as you will hear in the two tracks below. Their influences include a wide range of things from Americana to New Orleans jazz, Eastern European folk and a touch of pop. Daydreaming has a more jazz feel especially in the playful piano part. Nona’s vocals just set the mood to lead you into a dream. Coincidentally the second track In Your Dreams is also about dreams, but it is more upbeat and the accordion and rhythm section make you want to get up, clap and dance. If my fellow Torontonians are interested in seeing them play live, they will be at The Rivoli on September 22nd.
