Bedroom-based Oxygen Ponies will be releasing their third album Exit Wounds on May 17, 2011. Their previous album, Harmony Handgrenade was a hit and topped people’s charts in 2009. So far, I’ve enjoyed what I heard of the new album. It has a very tranquil calm feel, almost dreamy. However, it has moments of lead up and build up that are subtle, but yet necessary with resolutions that are happen just at the right moments. Hollywood is a track that displays some of these qualities. I love that everything is so delicate sounding. Like every sound you hear is a purposeful piece of a giant puzzle.
