Since the purpose of this blog is to expand your musical tastes, I noticed that I have been posting a lot of indie stuff lately and this is not what this band is soley about, so let’s hear something different. As a student of the University of Toronto, I was able to join some really awesome world music ensembles. One of which was steel pan. Steel pan is originated from Trinidad and Tobago where they create their pans out of real steel drums. Here is a video the professor took of us performing a song called “Jump in the Line”

I looked hard online and I found an authentic version of this song from Trinidad Steel Drum Band, so have a listen! This is what the original song was supposed to sound like!
