Saturday night, Exclaim! had an intense bill at the Horseshoe. By intense I mean, I spent the whole night trying not to get crushed by the people beside me. I was wandering around Queen and Spadina area and heard music coming from the Cameron House direction. I found out there was some sort of art show going on and a Cameron House Records outside show. Youngsters Jane’s Party happened to be playing. They were showing off some tunes from their latest release Hot Noise, which is quite good.

On Saturday, I was up bright and early for M For Montreal’s annual boat cruise. The line up was best yet. Beginning the shenanigans was Texan rapper Fat Tony whose lyrics were hilariously entertaining. He brought with him his beat maker Tom Cruz. Continue Reading

On my way home on Friday I stopped by The Garrison to see DIANA. They were the secret guest of the night and impressed with their 80s inspired electropop.

Since I was still on a Monster energy drink and alcohol buzz Dan Deacon as a secret guest was perfect for my night. There was a little blip in the beginning as he asked the audience for batteries. However when it started, I didn’t want it to end.
